The Independence League Constitution
Don't Tread on Me!

1 Rules changes require 3/4 of league owners (9) to vote yes.*
*All owners have veto power when changes are proposed to this rule, expansion, new owners, rules changes outside
of draft weekend, reducing roster sizes, reducing the number of players/defenses protected from the draft,
drastic changes in scoring, changes to roster positions or starting line-ups, and in all matters that
would change first place being award to the team with the most "win points" overall.
2 All E*OFFICE fees must be paid in order to draft in any league.
No line-ups, trades, or waiver pick-ups will be accepted until all E*OFFICE fees are paid in full.
Failure to pay all E*OFFICE fees by the first kick-off of week 2 could result in loss of team.
3 The Draft will be held during the 2nd full weekend of July.
A Person may only draft for one team.
No Independence League owner may draft for another.
4 Draft order will be determined by a random draw at the previous year's draft.
If you draw a top 6 draft pick one year, you will draw a bottom 6 draft pick the next year and vice versa
Draft order will reverse each round
The schedule will be determined by that year's draft order.
Future draft picks may be traded.
5 Each Franchise may protect up to twelve roster positions from the draft.
Keepers are due by 1am ET the Saturday of Draft Weekend.  After the deadline a team may keep a maximum of 6 positions.
Each franchise may protect two less roster positions in an expansion year.
6 Two minutes will be given to make each draft pick.
All draft picks must be submitted in writing.  No substitute picks will be accepted.
A player may only be drafted or protected at a position they are listed playing by two or more trusted sources.
The Draft will have two less rounds than needed to fill roster.  Each team has one week to choose two players for free.
Rosters are set two weeks after the completion of the draft.
7 Entry fee is $35.00
Waiver pick-ups cost $1.00 and trades cost .50.  Both are unlimited.
A player must have been available for at least one fantasy draft before they can be claimed off waivers.
No trades or waiver claims may be made between the first kick-off of week 11 and the completion of the NFL
regular season.  The waiver hiatus will continue until the completion of the next draft.
Trades may resume immediately following the completion of the NFL season.
8 The League will begin with the kick-off of week one and end with the conclusion of the NFL regular season.
For 2020 only, if there are fewer than 10 regular season games completed the season won't count and no entry fee or transactions
will be collected an no winnings paid. Pizza Fund violations and skins will not be affected.
9 Each week each team will face one other team.  The team with the most "game points" will win
the match-up and earn one "win point".  The losing team will receive zero "win points".
In the case of a tie in "game points" each team will receive half a "win point".
The order of finish will be decided by "win points", from most to least. Ties will be broken by total points.
If two or more teams have the same number of "win points" and "game points" a coin flip will break the tie.
10 Each franchise may have a maximum of 23 roster positions. (24 roster positions following 2021 regular season)
Each team may have a maximum of 3qb's, 6rb's, 6wr's, 2te's, 2kickers, 2defenses, and one bonus at any position.
After the 2021 regular season, a 2nd bonus roster position will be added to each team's roster.
One additional spot may be used for a player who is placed on injured reserve.
Players may be moved to and from the injured reserve spot.
11 A starting line-up may consist of a maximum of 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1k, 1defense, and one bonus of any position.
If a team starts more players or positions than they are allowed, the lowest scores possible from the overloaded
positions will be used.
12 Final starting line-ups are due by the first kick-off of each Sunday.
If no line-up is submitted by the deadline the previous weeks line-up will be used.
If there is a Thursday, Friday, and or Saturday game then players in those games must be started
or pulled from previous line-up by the first kick-off of each respective day.
If a player from a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday game is in a team's previous week's line-up
and they are not pulled or removed by a new line-up prior to the first kick-off of the day their
team is playing, then that player is automatically started for that week.
13 All scores will be final after seven days. Example:  A Sunday game becomes final at 12:01am next Sunday.
14 A team will be charged $5.00 (to pizza fund) for starting a player or defense who is on a bye,
on the injured reserve list, or not on an NFL team.
15 Even numbered weeks will be skins weeks.  Each team will be charged $8.00 per year for skins.
